Our meetings are held on the third Monday of every month, usually in the shop of a member, or at some local point of interest such as an OSU Wood Lab or an artisan's shop. The meetings open at 7:15 PM, and start in earnest at 7:30. The topic of the meeting is posted here one week before each meeting. For more information about our meetings, or directions to the meeting, please contact one of the officers.
The June 21st meeting will be held at the shop of one of our members north of Corvallis. We will begin to gather at 7 PM for social/networking time with the program starting at 7:30 PM. The topic will be All About Handplanes. Feel free to bring a plane that you have questions about or want to show off. Also feel free to bring some practice wood or project parts for questions as well. The focus of the evening will be on using planes, not sharpening. There is an excellent review on sharpening planes in the latest issue of Fine Woodworking magazine.
